Michael Hall is an independent researcher focusing on human rights, democracy, and civil society in Eurasia. He has previously worked for such organizations as Freedom House, the Open Society Foundations, and the International Crisis Group. He holds an AM in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia from Harvard University.
