Audra Plepytė is the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, overseeing international security policy, multilateral and transatlantic cooperation. A career diplomat since 1994, she served as Lithuania’s Ambassador to the United States, Permanent Rrepresentative to the United Nations, President of the Bureau of the Executive Board of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and as Ambassador to Spain. She holds degrees in international relations and philosophy from Vilnius University and studied diplomacy at the University of Oxford. Plepytė has received several international honours, including the Cross of the Knight of the Order for Merits to Lithuania and the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit.
